Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Ontario Road Test Assist part of DriveTest or the Ontario government?
No. Ontario Road Test Assist is an independent third-party appointment-assistance service. We are not affiliated with DriveTest, Serco Canada Inc., the Ontario Ministry of Transportation, or the Government of Ontario.
How much does the service cost?
Our service fee is $60 CAD, tax included. You pay our service fee only after we successfully book and confirm an appointment that meets your agreed requirements.
What counts as a successful booking?
A booking is successful when the appointment matches the test type, acceptable locations, date requirements, and other agreed criteria, and is successfully confirmed in the official booking system.
What happens if you can’t find an earlier appointment?
You don’t pay our $60 service fee.
Why do you need my driver’s licence number and expiry date?
These details are required for the road-test booking process. We request them only for providing the appointment-assistance service.
Do I have to pay the official road-test fee too?
It depends on your booking status and whether an official fee is required. If a fee is required to complete your booking, we may advance it on your behalf. After a successful booking, you reimburse that amount separately from our service fee.
Can I choose more than one DriveTest centre?
Yes. You can select multiple acceptable locations. Greater flexibility may increase the opportunities for finding an earlier appointment.
Can you guarantee an earlier appointment?
No. Appointment availability changes and we cannot guarantee that a suitable earlier opening will become available. If we don’t successfully book an appointment that meets your agreed requirements, you don’t pay our service fee.
